Transcription (exact) of the Minutes of the 1st Annual General meeting of the St Maur’s Dramatic Players held on the 16th of September from 1946

“Fr Crinion in the Chair, first item on the agenda was the reading of the Secretary’s report which was proposed and seconded and adopted. Next the Treas. report was read which showed a balance of £6.7.0 proposed and seconded and adopted. The Rev Chairman then stated that he wished to co-operate and help in any way he could to the class. J Carty was proposed for Vice Chairman by R King and seconded by D Langan. Brendan Dunne proposed and seconded by R King that the Committee be elected in block. J Murtagh the Sec. did not wish to go forward for another year. It was then proposed by W Price and seconded by Maurice Kane that D Langan be elected Sec which was agreed too. The position then arose as to a vacancy on the Committee. Brendan Dunne was proposed and seconded and Maurice Kane. W Price then pointed out that there should be two vacancies not one, after some discussions Roger King with drew and asked that his name go forward with the other two for election. Next was the appointing of two scrutineers. Miss Annie Martin and W. Price were elected. Owing to the position as to the appointing of the committee the Rev Chair asked for a volunteer to act as a third scrutineer. J Lambe was appointed. The result of the ballot. R King 18 votes B Dunne 8 votes. R King and B Dunne were elected. The last item of the agenda it was decided to put Mungo’s Mansion into production. Roger King is the producer and D Langan the stage manager. Next meeting of the committee to be held Friday the 20th of September the meeting then closed”
